Design and build a MEMs device for free!

MEMS (microelectromechanical systems) devices are the tiny but powerful components behind countless modern technologies—from sensors in smartphones to precision actuators in medical devices. While many engineers rely on off-the-shelf MEMS solutions, sometimes only a custom design will do. The catch? Developing a MEMS device from scratch can be costly, particularly when it comes to fabrication.

That’s where the MEMS Infinity Challenge comes in. Recently launched by MEMS Infinity (https://bit.ly/3Dlx0iU), this competition is seeking the most innovative and commercially promising MEMS designs. The winner will receive free foundry services to turn their concept into reality, while runners-up can secure complimentary poly-PZT deposition or DRIE processing.

Submissions are due July 25, 2025, with winners announced at PiezoMEMS 2025 in Japan. If you have a groundbreaking MEMS idea, this could be your chance to bring it to life at no cost.
